Description:
Kyo is a tall boy for fourteen years old, he's almost six feet tall and still growing. He has a nice build, acquired from a life of physical labor. He has lightly tanned skin and a proportionate body. Strong muscle lingers below that skin, which are always sore from working in the fields most of the time and handling his farm animals. Unlike most faeries, he doesn't have wings, but thick, ugly scars where his wings once were. His wings were torn off him when he was a child by his father after they first sprouted.

Big sandy brown eyes are framed by thick, dark lashes on Kyo's young but attractive face. Those eyes, when in the sunlight, look golden. Which, in the constant sunlight of Deliciae and that he is always outside, there are a few people who don't even know he has brown eyes. His hair, straight and long-ish, is nearly the same color as his eyes. He wears simple, unremarkable clothing that does nothing to attract attention.

Description:
Kyo's life revolves around two things: work and Bailey. When he's not working on the farm, trying to make enough money to work his way up to nobility so that when he and Bailey get married it doesn't smear her reputation as much. He knows that, although she denies it, Bailey really does care about her reputation.

Obviously, being a farmer, a little hard work is something he has come to appreciate and even like. He loves working in the fields and with his many farm animals. He's a vegetarian, and only grows produce (meaning he doesn't butcher his animals).

A key personality trait that sums Kyo up is independent or proud. Many gossip that he's trying to steal Bailey's wealth or mooch off of it, but this isn't the case. He fell in love with Bailey before he knew she was rich, and only rarely will let her do anything for him with her extravagant wealth. He spends 100% of his free time at the Castle, because Bailey is rarely allowed to leave except when her family goes on diplomatic journeys and she leaves without their knowledge. He's very, very loyal to Bailey and would do anything for her.

To put it in perspective, Kyo is a nice boy who likes helping people, and above all loves his girlfriend more than anything.


HISTORY AND BACKGROUND
Born into a family of loners, Kyo's mother had him out of wedlock with a fairy that used to own the farm Kyo owns now. Her husband, a shapeshifter like herself, knew that when the dark blue dragonfly-like wings sprouted form his nine-year-old son's back, his wife had cheated on him. He flew into a rage, unable to control the anger and betrayal he felt from his wife's adultery. In a moment of undiluted anger, he ripped the wings from his son's back, leaving thick, terrible scars. Kyo ran away after that and became a loner all on his own.

He worked on a farm in Deliciae during harvest seasons, the farm his real father owned (although Kyo didn't know that). But during the other months he roamed the country alone, not growing attached to any. He met Bailey when she had run away from the castle one late spring day. They spent all day talking, and Kyo became attached fast. He trusted her completely, and when she kissed him, he felt complete for the first time since his dad ripped his wings from his back.

Kyo still works on that farm, although his real father died shortly before he met Bailey. Kyo still didn't know that the faerie farmer was his real father. The man left his farm in its entirety to Kyo, his bastard son, in his dying moments as he passed away from untreated blood poisoning.
