"So what if they come out differently at times? A life with a soul is definitely better than having to steal them just to stay alive." He stepped back a bout a foot to be buy Safaia. He smiled as he stepped up onto her back and stood there, looking at the two. "And I can tell That Emzara here does not like to steal souls."
The vedial walked up the neck of his dragon so that he was standing on her head so that he was eye level with the ghost. He smiled at him and spoke again. "Like I said before, I would stay with her, but if you're included in the package then I would not." He smiled down at Emzara, knowing that she would definately like to have her soul seeing that she hated to steal them in the first place.

"Is this foul man bothering you, my dearest Cethin?" A radiant voice echoed through the alley, the voice of a heavenly angel.
Hindered by his size, Hadrian, the demon from the Bloodlands, was forced to stay in the much wider road connected to the narrow alleyway. His mistress, Miss Alessia Hawking, was already off his back and on her way down the slim street to meet up with an old pal. Her pale eyes seemed to glow in the darkness of the alley as she approached a bruised Emzara, a confident Akio, and a dominant and totally in control Cethin.
Unmoved by both of their staggering heights, Alessia stood in front of them, her hands on her hips as she looked up at Akio with the face a teacher would use to express disappointment and skepticism in her student. She put most of her weight on her right leg and raised an eyebrow at Akio, not even bothering to acknowledge Safaia before her. "You'd be best to leave him alone, you know," she scolded, her voice sounding much like that teacher described earlier. "You wouldn't want to find yourself on his bad side, and because we're friends, you wouldn't want to be listed on mine, either."
Alessia flashed a crafty and innocent smile, her vampiric fangs just barely noticeable under the low light conditions. Her eyes, however, did not express the same amusement. They were cold and stern, staring directly into Akio's without fear.

"Alessia," Cethin smiled and floated back to the ground. It made him feel more confident now that he had someone else on his side. Of course, he was confident enough as it was, but the extra person made him comfortable enough to practically drop his defenses. "He's not really bothering me. He's just being too stubborn to realize somethings," He replied casually, shrugging his shoulders. A sly smirk appeared on his face.
"You know, I could use some help, though. I'm having a problem deciding whether or not I should steal this guys soul," Cethin glanced at the vampiric angel. He could turn into a major problem in my plans if he continues to think the way he is... The ghost thought to himself.
Emzara took a step back when Alessia arrived on the scene, adding to her fear. She remembered seeing the vampire before and she hadn't been too fond of seeing her again. She glanced down the alley and wondered if she would be able to run. Maybe if she could get away then Cethin would just follow her and leave Akio alone. But what about Alessia? Would she hurt Akio?
Snapping her fingers, Emzara teleported right next Akio. She grabbed his hand and placed her other hand on Safaia's head.
"You're very predictabe, Em," Cethin commented, narrowing his eyes at his younger cousin. "All you can do is run and hope that you never have to give in to the truth." But, even as he said this, Emzara was already teleporting herself, Akio, and Safaia away the back alley. "Damn brat."
Emzara, Akio, and Safaia appeared not too far away. The lesser demon jumped off the dragon and landed lightly, using wind manipulation to slow her fall. She didn't say a word to Akio, not sure what exactly to say. He had practically found out her secret and she wasn't sure if he actually meant what he said back in the alley.

Akio turned quickly in the direction of the new voice. Cethin had called her Alessia, which sounded familiar to him. He knew he had heard the name somewhere before, just couldn't remember where he had heard it. He was just about to say this out loud when he felt something touch him. He was caught off guard when everything seemed to disappear and reappear. He looked down in surprise to see Emzara jumping off of Safaia.
He jumped off on the opposite side of the dragon and smiled at the young girl. "I meant everything I said you know, I will help you. I don't care that your soul could be different from who you are now. In my opinion, a soul is affected by experiences, not by the soul itself. The sweetest person at heart could be a killer the next day because of one little experience."
The vedial sighed and placed his hand on the side of Safaia, "I know that from my own experience...."

"Well that was just plain cowardly!" Alessia remarked in dismay. She didn't appreciate those who ran. "I mean, really, how difficult is it to just submit to us instead? What were you doing around them, anyway? Who were they?"
The vampiric angel looked at Cethin with truly curious eyes. It was much less claustrophobic in the alley now that the dragon was gone, but it was also empty. Quiet, hollow, lonely. She kind of liked it, but it wasn't very pretty as the sun went down and the alley darkened. There was hardly a view of the stars and the moons.
Neither of the two people she had seen looked even remotely familiar to Alessia. She couldn't even connect through similar faces of kinship. They were utter strangers. Why was Cethin with them? It was such a shame they had to leave. Oh, how much drama could have ensued if they had not chickened out! The vampiress sighed sadly at the thought. Clearly something interesting had been happening before she arrived.

"Unfortunately, I have no clue what experiences my true soul has gone through," Emzara looked away from the vedial, to the horizon. She closed her eyes and shook her head. When she opened her eyes again, they swirled with definite confusion, "I don't want to steal souls, but I have to to survive. But, I don't want my true soul back unless I'm certain that I will be... Sane."
She was still looking away from Akio, starting to walk away. "Thanks, Akio. But, it would be best... If you just stayed away from me and Cethin. We're dangerous..."
"That girl... Is a distant cousin of mine and the boy is her friend or whatever. I'm not sure," Cethin shrugged, glancing around casually. "I made a promise to someone, and, annoyingly, the only way to fulfill that promise is to gain the trust of my cousin." He rolled his eyes. "And that is the only reason I would be around the nuisance."

"Em, wait." Akio stepped forward, sounding a little determined. ""Even if your soul was crazy it is fixable. As long as we worked with you on it you would slowly rebuild it to your own liking. I just want to help you in any way I can without leaving you alone with that ghost. If only I had had my sword on me......."
He sighed and walked back to Safaia. Sometimes he felt as if whet he wanted to do was a lost cause, but he felt he had to do this for her. Even if it meant going to the Plane of the Santach to find the soul, which would take a whole lot of work but he knew he could somehow do it. He hated to see people who were living a life they did not want, this was one thing he felt he had to do no matter what.

"Oh, Cethin deary," Alessia said with a something lecturing tone, "you'll never gain her trust like that. You must lie, cheat, and deceive so that little pathetic excuse for a girl will learn that you're her friend. And then you crush her and burn her and her whole basis of trust will be shattered. She'll never open herself up like that again."
The vampiric angel danced over to Hadrian who lay just outside the alleyway. He lifted his head as she approached, and he scrambled up as fast as possible when he realized she was coming over to greet him.
Alessia scratched the underside of his throat. "Isn't that right, Hadrian my love? You feel so powerful when you break a person like that. There's almost nothing better."
She turned around to face Cethin, leaning on her dearest Hadrian as she continued to stroke his throat. He churred with pleasure. "If I may ask, what is this promise about?"

Emzara sighed heavily and shook her head. She knew that he was trying to help, but he just didn't get it. "I'm sorry, Akio, but you're just not understanding." A soul is formed the way it is from the beginning. It knows your destiny before you do. It adjusts when the time is right, not when you try to adjust it yourself. If your soul was the soul of the psycho killer, then a psycho killer you would be, no way to change it unless the soul saw necessary to do so.
"Please don't let me burden your thoughts, Akio. Ever," She whispered as she stepped away, leaving Akio and his dragon behind. Em instantly found herself in the more populous part of the city, trying not to bump into people and completely forgetting about her torn up heels.
"Hmmm..." Cethin had a thoughtful expression on his face for once. "And how would you go about that, Alessia? With someone as skittish as Emzara?" He asked, actually respecting the thoughts of the vampiress. There was select few who Cethin actually cared to pay attention to their opinions. Alessia, Tran, and Zera. If there was anyone else, who couldn't remember them.
"And there's this person in one of the Santach Planes. She's stuck there. And I promised to get her out of there," Cethin explained short and simply.

"She doesn't understanding me Safaia, I think Cethin has more planned for her than she thinks. I'm afraid for her safety." Akio stepped over to Safaia and placed his hand on her. "How do I tell her this without telling her? Cethin just seems....suspicious to me...."
"How am I supposed to know, it's not like I can get inside her head or something." Safaia nudged him a little towards the streets, "But if I were you, i would go tell her that just to get it off of your chest."
"Damn it, I was hoping to find some information on her whereabouts here." Takao Grumbled as he walked through the Black Market. This was the one place he thought he could find information on where Chiyoko was, and where that boyfriend of her's that he felt was still alive. When he found that boy he would strangle the life out of him for ruining his sister. Chiyoko had been the perfect little sister, an angel just like the rest of his family, until she met him.
He stepped up to the door and pushed it open, walking out into the dimly lit alleyway. Takao, there are others in that alley. Be carefull, they don't look like the kind that enjoy being interrupted. Just remember, the alleyway is too small for me to land in so if you get in a fight, you are on your own.
Well noted Hikari. Takao closed his eyes and took in a deep breath before opening them and taking a look at the two. Maybe they will know where Chiyoko is. The angel stepped forward, fully coming out of the shadows.
"Good evening you two, maybe you can give me the information I want on someones location?"

Alessia narrowed her eyes and whipped her head in the direction of Takao and his vile, interruptive voice. How dare he! How dare he have even the nerve to barge right into a conversation the Alessia Hawking was having with her dearest and perhaps most amiable friend, the Cethin Steele! Who in the world did this man think he was? The Emperor? Because even the Emperor had no right to rudely infringe upon a private conversation! Some nerve!
The young Hawking placed her hands on her hips and glared at Takao with her blood-red eyes. Her face was twisted with a sour expression and a deep frown, and her brows were knitted together in agitation.
"Pardon me, sir," she hissed, sneering the word 'sir' in a sarcastic tone. "If you would be so kind as to excuse yourself from this private conversation and promise to never be that rude again, it would be greatly appreciated by my friend and me. Your petty information bears no significance in this conversation. We're clearly busy and have no time to help you, nor do we care!"
Alessia stressed many of her words with a hateful tone of voice, and she had completely disregarded anything that Cethin had said so as to preserve the privacy of the conversation.
Meanwhile, Hadrian had stood up and began snarling at Takao. This man had upset his mistress! He was now the enemy. No one was allowed to perturb his Alessia! Anyone who did would have to pay ... Or run.
The canine-esque demon crept menacingly toward Takao from behind Alessia, his head low with a dominant growl, shoulders tall with pride. Hadrian wasn't in a hurry to maul the interrupter to death; his tactic was scare first, attack second, unless Alessia gave him word to leap forth. Unfortunately, she had placed her hand authoritatively in front of his nose, and the demon was forced to cease forward movement.

Cethin stayed absolutely quiet through Alessia's little snap attack. However, one side of his mouth jerked up in a smirk as she lashed out at the rude stranger. It was entertaining. And he couldn't complain about it either. Takao better have been glad that Alessia got to him before he did, because, unlike her, Cethin wasn't one for words. He liked actions and would not be relunctant to hold back a punch or two and a smug smile of satisfaction.
He gave Takao a glare that obviously said "I suggest you leave unless you want something worse to happen". Cethin had about the same thought process as Alessia; whoever this fool was, he was not wanted in the conversation and neither one of them cared about who he was looking for.
"Whoa..." Em didn't know where to go, but she didn't feel like going home quite yet, so she started wandering around. Soon, she was daydreaming as she walked and, somehow, she had ended up stumbling into the church.
It was very grand and bright and everything that Emzara wasn't used to. The whole time she was in there, her deep purple eyes were wide, and she was constantly looking around. This was the first time ever being in a church and she never expected it to be this... Fascinating. She kept spinning and spinning, as if to get in the whole scene at once. Then she noticed there was more on the ceiling and blinked, staring up. For the first time in a while, she was smiling like a child.

Safaia leaped into the sky, her eyes instantly catching site of Emzara. Akio, she just went into the church. She soared higher until she was out of sight. Akio watched her for a moment then sprinted off, looking for the church as quickly as he could. He reached the door and stopped.
What am I to do now? Just walk in and see if she is there? The vedial walked up and slowly opened the door, peeking in to see if he could spot the young demon.
"Such a harsh greeting, was mine not polite enough for you dear?" he stated in an equally sarcastic tone. He hated these rich, snobby attitudes. He had worked long and hard just to keep from getting that kind of attitude. He glanced at her companion and raised an eyebrow. "Well you're not a beast you see every day."
Takao held his ground, not threatened one bit by the large creature, Alessia, nor Cethin. He knew he could get out of there quickly, and even hold his ground if he needed to until Hikari could give him some help. All she would need to do was fly over and shoot out a jet of flames at the area to throw the people off.
He crossed his arm and frowned, if they were having a private conversation then why have it right outside of the Black Market? There were plenty of people who would sell information from any conversation in there, which was how he had thought he could find Chiyoko.
"I'm not here to play your 'I'm richer than you so I'm better than you' game. And why talk right outside of the Black Market knowing that there are people in there that would sell whatever they hear from you in a heart beat. Now let's cut to the chase shall we? Do you know where a girl named Chiyoko Manayoko or Jared Calvare is? I have some business to take care of with the two of them. If you give me this information I'll repay you with anything but my soul or life. If you don't know then no harm done, I'll just be on my way and out of your hair."

"Money?! You think this is about money?"
Alessia looked taken aback. Had she even said a single word about her affluent lifestyle or even mentioned one gold aureus? No. Why was this man being childish enough to bring money into the argument? A small smirk appeared on the vampiress' smug face when she decided Takao must've been feeling inferior. Not one sane person would bring up another subject matter without good reason, and what good reason did Takao have? None. None whatsoever!
"And to answer your first petty question, you said it yourself," Alessia replied condescendingly, rolling her eyes to Takao's increasing ignorance. "They're inside that building, and, since you did bring up money, I'm not sure if you knew this, as, you seem to present yourself as being from a lower class with no money to have paid for prior education, but there is such as thing as whispering!"
The vampiric angel brought her voice down to a shouting whisper at the end of her sentence so as to exemplify her statement. Her vocal chords went from erupting with snarky frustration to possessing little to no movement as she vocalized what she was talking about. She hoped this imbecile would understand.
Sighing and rolling her eyes yet again, Alessia put her two forefingers in her mouth under her tongue (right between those pointy little vampire fangs!) and blew, a piercing whistle echoing from the alley, its close walls intensifying the volume.
"Cethin, my dear, what say you we continue this conversation on demon-back?" she asked, her voice melodramatic and falsely 'weary'. Alessia had chosen to ignore anything Takao said that held no relevance to her or her conversation with Cethin. As far as any potential observer was concerned, 'Alessia did not hear what Takao said about some girl named Chiyoko and some boy named Jared.'
Right on cue, a large beast circled the alley in the sky as he slowly descended and prepared for landing anywhere he could manage to fit himself. He had been stationed outside the Celestial City, but when he heard his mistress' piercing whistle, he was quick and loyal to obey.
Tiberius really didn't have much room to be... Well, anywhere. He landed in the wide, main road of the market district, the one that was connected by many smaller alleyways and secondary roads. It was just barely wide enough for him to land, as he had to spread his wings out at an ascending angle so they wouldn't be scrunched up between two buildings.
The smug vampiress said a quick and quiet but evidently perceptible, "Hmph!" before turning her head and walking over to Tiberius, leading Hadrian there, too.
Her biggest goal was to get away from Takao without causing any uproar. The market district was always heavily guarded to combat the thieving miscreants who found a home here, and a battle would not be fun. Julian would not be happy if he had to pay for the damages, either. If Cethin, however, so dearly wish to engage in one-on-one bloodshed, then Alessia would've been happy to wait and watch, confident in her friend's abilities to destroy anyone who crossed his path.

"That will be a yes from me, but I do have some information for our little 'friend'," Cethin smirked, showing off some pretty nice fangs that came from when he had been still alive. Not many people knew what he was when he was still living, but they could take a pretty good guess from the fangs alone. It could have been another reason as to why Alessia and him were friends, though he wasn't exactly sure if she had ever seen his teeth, nor if she cared.
His eyes seemingly shined with secrecy as he replied to him, "I haven't seen your friend, Chiyoko, but I know some people who definitely know Jared Calvare. They talk about him all the time and tell about their meetings too."His lies were flawless, guaranteed to not be seen through easily. Using his auxilary magic, he sensed out where his cousin and her little friend was. "At this moment, they're at the church. They'll play dumb to knowing him, though, so don't be stupid and fall for it."
Being done with that, Cethin made his way back to Alessia. As he walked, he called over his shoulder, "I'll be seeing you later, my medium-souled stranger." His smirk became much more menacing, though Takao could absolutely not see him with his back turned. Flicking a glance over to Alessia, he nodded his head, ready to leave. And he was definitely sure to keep his word about 'seeing him again'.
Seeing him dead that is.
Growing tired of craning her neck up to look up at the ceiling, she laid on one of the benches to gaze up at the beautiful architecture. However, when energy urged her to get up and move around, she did, moving to the wall and running her hand along the stone. Her eyes caught the stain-glass windows as she passed by them. Suddenly, she spotted the altar at the front and found it more fascinating than anything else.
"Ooooh," As she looked into the well-like area of the altar, she stared at the gem that was in the middle of it. Mesmerized, the lesser demon reached her hand out, about ready to touch it.
