Firstly, the staff and members here would like to welcome you to Destiny Flyers! This guide is here for your convenience. It has a lot that you need to know in order to role-play successfully on this site, including very general information about the races, geography, politics, religion, and magic. Links will be provided to their respective articles for more detailed information. IntroductionDestiny Flyers is an original, medieval fantasy, account-per-player RPG. We are of an intermediate-to-advanced, literate forum, and we focus more on the quality over quantity in posts. There is no word limit, though we suggest a quality post of at least 125 words. We do understand that everyone has their off days and just can't muster the eloquence to write a lot, and that's okay. That's why we do not enforce a word limit. We are set in an original world, focusing on only one continent known as Osoa (oh- SOW-uh), one empire (the Osoan Empire) which is divided into four provinces which is further divided into separate counties. There are many diverse races that live on Osoa in tense feelings for one another, each falling into the group of man, beast, or elf. Most of these peoples live interracially, but you will find that certain provinces have a majority race and do not welcome others. Take a look at the Geography thread, the Hierarchy thread, and the Races thread to learn more. Each race has this incredible ability to use holy magic, which is basically harnessing the energy that flows from the gods, Zerua, and Meprise. There is also another type of magic, called selfish magic, which comes from these greedy gods known as The Santach. Read the Magic thread for more information. Speaking of, Religion is a huge, integrated part of society in the Osoan Empire. The Hexadus, also known as the Six, is widely worshiped by the vast majority of the citizens of the Empire, and even The Santach, or The Selfish, has a wide array of followers. They are a significant part of Osoa's history. Joining Destiny FlyersArguably the most important thread of the site, you should probably (definitely) read the rules. Rules keep order and protect the site from chaos. The rules of Destiny Flyers are not too restricting, so it is expected that you will be able to follow them. After that, register and create a character! You can use the creation form to do that and then start a new thread just for your character in the appropriate board. Please take a look at the restrictions and encouragements before making a character. If you're indecisive about something, the encouragements could help you make up your mind and benefit the site. Once your character is accepted and has been given a birthsign, you are free to role-play at your heart's desire! Happy role-playing!
