Previous location: Kyla The doors of a small meeting room opened as Dranixs Granas walked out flanked by other nobles asking him questions which he answered with a smile but he quickly broke away from them at his first chance, when they were gone he spat on the ground and said, "They are so easy to manipulate. A few words in this ear and a few coins in that hand, and I have them right under my thumb."
He stopped at a door, pushed it open and walked among the rows of books in the library before pulling a large book from one of the shelves. He sat down in a nearby chair and started going through the book before finally stopping on a page that said, Pyrixs Granas, assumed dead, twenty-five, no funeral. Dranixs sat the book down on the table beside the chair and started to think. "Where is Arrow when I need her?" Dranixs said to himself.

"Here," Arrow said with a smile as she walked into the same room Dranixs was in. Her expression changed slightly when she saw the book in his hand, but the feeling left as soon as it came. She tried to keep a light emotion shining in her eyes and attempted to hold the same smile she had when she had walked into the room.
She tilted her head and instantly realzed that the Count had his thoughtful face on. The Olisthir calmly sat on the arm of the chair, quiet for some time before she even thought of saying anything. Sometimes Dranixs wanted silence and sometimes he wanted talking, but, quite often, she couldn't distinguish the difference between either of them.
"What's the matter?" She asked, her voice drifting into a curious state.

"Good timing." Dranixs said standing up and grabbing the book, "To answer your question, this is what is bothering me. His body was never found and he still hasn't been found."
He pointed to where Pyrixs name was in the book before closing it and placing it back on the shelf. He walked deeper into the library where no one would be listening before speaking in a hushed voice, "Have any of the mercenaries I had you hire to go after that mystery killer we heard about returned yet?"
He ran his finger along the dusty books on the shelves as he waited for Arrows answer, two thoughts running through his mind. What if they returned, then they either brought me my brother or a killer. If they haven't, then either it is his brother or a very skilled killer.

She figured it was something about Pyrixs that was bothering Dranixs. None of them had seen him for a while and, of course, most people thought he was dead. Arrow didn't think he was, and she was sure that Dranixs thought the same way as her. Seeing the brother of Dranixs, however, in a book stating that he was dead swayed her thoughts for a mere second.
"None have returned, King Dranixs," The olisthir replied, following after him with long strides. "I wouldn't be surprised if they had been killed..." She muttered. There was something weird about the mysterious killer. Sure, there were plenty of mysterious killers around Osoa, but something about this killer seemed... odd.
"But you never know. They might just be having a hard time finding out information," She shrugged.

"Then we are to assume they are dead." Dranixs said as soon as he got his answer, "It wouldn't be hard to find this man, he leaves a trail of dead bodies where ever he goes."
Dranixs sat down in another chair and gestured for Arrow to sit in the one right next to him before he asked, "How has your day been so far?"
Dranixs missed moments like this, where they cold just sit and talk the day away, but responsibilities had made these moments few and rare so he cherished every single second of them. He looked into Arrows eyes and just held his gaze wishing that this moment would never end.

"It's been... as boring as usual," Arrow confessed, sitting on the chair criss-cross instead of in a normal fashion. It wasn't fun without Dranixs around, but he had to work and he had responsibilities, while Arrow normally didn't have anything to do. She had practiced her archery, done some sparring in the coourtyard with some of the guards, read in the library, practiced archery again, and then patrolled the castle. Same thing every day, just a little switched up.
The mysterious killer worried her, wondering if it actually was Pyrixs. And that who ever it was had just killed their mercernaries. Of course, Dranixs didn't seem to care, but Arrow was concerned. What if this murderer came to Kyla and tried to assassinate Dranixs?
"I think I should go find this man," Arrow suggested, looking up from the spot she was staring at on the ground. She just needed to do something.

"My day was about the same except I had to deal with greedy politics and taxes." Dranixs said as he reached for book that lacked dust unlike the others and pulled it from the shelf as he grabbed a quill off of the side table by his chair. He started to write but he instantly stopped when he heard Arrows suggestion. The silence in the library was long and slow as Dranixs thought until he finally said, "Yes, but on one condition. If you find this man don't engage him, just follow him for a bit and see if you can uncover his identity. If it comes to a fight. Flee."
He put the quill away, closed the book before standing up in front of Arrow then leaned down and kissed her on the forehead. "Be safe." he said before turning around and starting for the library door.

Don't engage. Flee if it comes to a fight. Don't engage. Flee if it comes to a fight, Arrow repeated in her mind so she wouldn't be tempted to go against. Everything about it went in opposite to what she thought. Every instinct told her that who ever this was killing people, she needed to kill him, but she wouldn't because Dranixs told her so.
She ran after him for a moment or two, running a list of what she was going to do and where she was going to go. Before she left, however, she grabbed the King's hand and smiled warmly. She stood on her tiptoes for a second, planting her lips on his cheek before nodding and letting go of his hand.
"Always," Arrow grinned, and then she was off.

Dranixs smiled as Arrow kissed him and left, taking a heavy weight off of his mind but also replacing it with a smaller one. As he turned the corner a messenger collided into him knocking both of them down, but the messenger was on his feet and as he pulled Dranixs to his feet he said, "I'm so sorry sir, I was trying to catch up with Miss Sage but then you came out of the library."
"It's okay, go catch up with Arrow if you have something important to give her just don't run into anyone else."Dranixs said but in his mind he was thinking, When I find out who you are, you're going on a mission you won't return from.
The messenger sprinted down the hall until he caught up with Arrow and said, "Miss Sage! I have a message for you, the person who gave it to me didn't give his name and I didn't see his face. The message wasn't sealed either. All it says is "In Ashfall"."
