This is an incomplete list of fauna and flora that are exclusive and unique to the world of Osoa. In other words, they're original species not found on planet Earth.

Grand Heyvan

Appearance: Six limbs: four legs and two wings. Long tail with a heavy spade or array of spikes at the end. Long claws, sharp fangs. Long neck, narrow head. Horns. Similar appearance to a dragon.
Size: Twice the size of the largest known beasts. As big as the Naevian Palace.
Notable Characteristics: Incredible size is godly. Their strength is unmatchable, and their ability to use magic is beyond that of the greatest mages on the planet. Grand Heyvans are considered demigods. Their brains are highly developed, and they are considered more intelligent than the wisest scholars. They know the ancient secrets of these worlds, despite their primitive temperament. They are immortal and can only be killed with transgression magic. Heyvans are cousins to dragons and carry the same armor-like scales that are essentially impenetrable.
Hostility: Varies, though most are around the 8/10 range.
Tameability: 0/10
Location: Anywhere, usually remain in the skies. Santach Planes included. Even rumored to exist in outer space.
Rarity: Very rare.
Umbra
pl. umbrae
Appearance: Shape varies depending on what animal species it mimics. Always pure black with a hazy, smoky aura around it with hollow, bright yellow eyes.
Size: Varies.
Notable Characteristics: Umbrae are eerie creatures that can shift into the shape of any animal. They dominant shadow magic.
Hostility: 8/10
Tameability: 1/10
Location: Everywhere, more commonly in Hegatzi, Verfall, and areas least touched or marked by humans. Santach Planes included.
Rarity: Common
Lumos
pl. lumae
Appearance: Usually a bright, floating ball of yellow or white (most commonly) or blue, green, pink, purple, or orange (less commonly). The center is opaque; surrounding it is an aura of the same color. The colors are always diluted.
Size: Usually ≈12" in diameter. Varies depending on shape.
Notable Characteristics: Considered the opposite of umbrae. Lumae tend to take on the form of a glowing entity (aka will-o'-the-wisp), but they, too, are capable of shifting forms into other animal species. When they shift forms, they retain their same colors and glowing aura. Their eyes are always white. They are docile and make great companions.

Location: Everywhere, usually swamps, bogs, and around water.
Rarity: Rare
Eskage Dog

Appearance: Very slim, long, and slender. Shape similar to a greyhound. Dark grey in color with flame-like splotches of orange on rear and paws. Long, whip-like tail with a dragon-like, bladed tail tip. Long, orange claws. Orange eyes. Front paws and back paws are chained to each other with spiked shackles.
Size: ≈3' at the withers.
Notable Characteristics: Eskage dogs are very timid, very shy, and very untrusting dogs. They wield fire. They reside as slaves to Meprise, and they are treated poorly. To have one trust you enough to remain your companion is considered a miracle, and it is usually a sign from the Hexadus that you are blessed with purity.

Location: Meprise. Some are released and some escape to the planet Orbis, but they are rare on Osoa.
Rarity: Common in Meprise, rare on Osoa
Ibon
pl. ibons
Appearance: Small heads with long, slender, crane-like necks. Very long legs. Long, trailing tails. Heads are often adorned with unique feathers or horns. Massive, beautiful, stork-like wingspans.
Size: Enormous. ≈25' tall from head to toe. Huge wingspans.
Notable Characteristics: Ibons, often called elemental birds for simplicity, are essentially enormous cranes. They come in every element, and they only wield one. The phoenix is a type of ibon, also called a firebird. Their colors or physical adornments generally reflect their element, but this is not always the case. Most are calm and very intelligent from birth.

Rarity: Uncommon
Kaphiri Spider

Appearance: Head and thorax small in size. Large, orb-like abdomen. The patterns on its abdomen resemble that of a terrifying face that smiles wickedly. Its main body color is black, and the color patterns vary, though green and orange are the most common pair. Its legs are striped with white.
Size: ≈13' in diameter.
Notable Characteristics: Kaphiri spiders are notorious for their incredibly strong, thick spider silk. This silk is not always harvested, but it is used by people in forests as a highway system. These spiders are also known for their surprisingly friendly disposition.
Hostility: 2/10

Location: All over Siar and in Cloud Forest in Oriens, Pertinax.
Rarity: Common
Megagator
pl. megagators
Appearance: Average alligator. Two parallel, dark red stripes run down megagators backs; these stripes are a dull yellow if the megagator is venomous.
Size: ≈27' long.
Notable Characteristics: Megagators come in two versions: nonvenomous and venomous, or, more informally, red and yellow. They are mostly calm creatures, but the yellow megagators have been known to be more moody than their red cousins. They make wonderful guardians... If you can tame one.
Hostility: 6/10
Tameability: 4/10
Location: Swamps, rivers, and lakes. Less common in colder climates.
Rarity: Common
Sanddevil
pl. sanddevils
Appearance: Terrifying, centipede-like creatures. Long bodies with creepy-crawly legs, about one hundred of them, each with little claws on them. Scary, horizontal jaws and pincers. Black and ruddy colors with bright yellow accents on its body. They burrow through the sand with ease and often do so to escape the heat of the desert sun.
Size: ≈8' long.
Notable Characteristics: Very hostile arthropods. Enjoy eating human flesh. Stay away!

Uri

Appearance: Deerlike body shape. Long legs, stubby tail, slender face, caribou-like antlers, hooves. Brown body with permanent fawn spots on its rear and a white underside. Its antlers carry vines, flowers, and tree leaves that drape around its body.
Size: ≈3'7" at the withers.
Notable Characteristics: Often regarded as forest spirits. Very holy and very kind, though usually shy. Uris are not meant to be tamed. They will escape if you capture one. They often bless those they deem worthy if you stumble across one.
Hostility: 1/10

Location: Forests everywhere.
Rarity: Rare
Volok
pl. voloks
Appearance: Fox body and goat horns. Very long saber-like canine fangs.
Size: ≈2'6" at the withers.
Notable Characteristics: The body of a fox, the horns of a goat, and the thirst for blood of a vampire. Voloks are vampiric beings notable for their stealth and horns.
Hostility: 7/10
Tameability: 3/10
Location: Everywhere, numerous Santach planes.
Rarity: Common
Chelona
pl. chelonas
Appearance: Body of a sea turtle, but instead of the front flippers being flippers, they are instead wings. Colors remain the same as its sea turtle cousins.
Size: Varies.
Notable Characteristics: Chelonas can survive on land and in the water. They are adept swimmers, and they can fly. They are very peaceful creatures.

Location: Any place near water.
Rarity: Uncommon
Katze
pl. katzes
Appearance: Pure black kitten with one or more tails. Never grows into an adult cat, regardless of age. Can come in shorthair or longhair.
Size: Small, kitten.
Notable Characteristics: The more tails a katze has, the better skilled this creature is in illusion. All katzes wield illusion.
Hostility: 4/10
Tameability: 7/10
Location: Everywhere.
Rarity: Common
Dais Wasp
pl. dais wasps
Appearance: Large wasps. Brilliant yellow and black as night. The females' stingers are abnormally and characteristically long with white tips.
Size: 3" long.
Notable Characteristics: As with all wasps, only the females have stingers. Their sting causes negative hallucinations that induce fear and tend to break sanity. These effects dissipate over the course of about a week, though being stung around 12 times or more can result in death.
Hostility: 10/10
Tameability: Negligible.
Location: Everywhere except cold climates.
Rarity: Very common
Screaming Sparrow

Appearance: Small passerine birds with brown-grey feathers. They look like average sparrows, except their wingspans have patterns that look like vicious, reddish eyes staring at you.
Size: ≈5" tall
Notable Characteristics: The screaming sparrow is known for its eerie back pattern as well as its piercing caterwaul that can be heard from ten miles away. Its characteristic screech is the namesake of the screaming sparrow and sounds like a woman's high-pitched scream, only significantly louder.
Hostility: 3/10
Tameability: 8/10
Location: Virtually everywhere except extremely cold or hot climates.
Rarity: Very common.
Dousil
pl. dousils
Appearance: Kind of like a tree and a lizard. Brown bodies with green, leaf-like webbed toes and webbed limbs with green, leaf-like attachments on its tail and a frilled, green collar.
Size: No longer than two feet.
Notable Characteristics: Dousils don't move. Ever. When they're being watched, they're as still as a stone. When they are not, however, it is said they can do remarkable things, such as move faster than lightning. They are believed to have incredible magic capabilities, but they have yet to be studied for obvious reasons. It is rumored if you see one move, you either turn to stone or into a tree, or you're blessed with good luck for the rest of your life.

Moon Lily
pl. moon lilies
Appearance: Glowing flower and stem. Flower itself is ivory in color, speckled with small, translucent grey flecks. The stem and leaves are a hollow, mystical, pale green color. The whole flower seems to glow at night. It scrunches up during the day and fully blooms under the light of the moon, hence its name.
Properties: The moon lily can be used in potions for restorative effects surrounding fatigue. It is also said to be a symbol of love.
Location: Everywhere.
Rarity: Uncommon
Dasaen Moss

Appearance: Short, tightly-packed moss. It is evidently green in color with a very faint hue of blue at night. It grows only on the floor of Dasaen Forest, providing a nice cushion for those who live there.
Properties: Very soft and spongey. Makes traveling through Dasaen Forest more comforting.
Location: Dasaen Forest.
Rarity: Very common
