Max let her feet hit the ground and then sprung back, her feet easily landing under her as she came to a stop. She looked at the new comer and smiled a little. "Th-thank you miss. I thought I was dead for a moment there..."
Lunch and dinner? This made Max a little scared, was Sabre planning her death along with Kenya's? She leaped into the air, her falcon form coming quickly and easily as she darted off towards the courtyard.
She landed on the ground near Holly, Dire, Renji, Nova and Sakura. She looked up at the four and hopped from side to side anxiously. "Sabre just tried to attack Kenya. I pushed her out of the way and was saved from Sabre's claws by a stranger saying she wants to talk to King Falkor. Now I'm scared that she'll attack this person. Sabre even said to her that she 'stole her lunch and dinner.' Can someone please help her? I don't want to get in trouble with the king, Sabre already seems to hate me and Kenya for some reason..."

"Yeah, you do! You stutter like an idiot around him. Your face goes completely red and you try to look your best around him and you're always running into him too! You show all the natural symptoms of having a crush on him!" Renji nodded in satisfaction, as if that one single nod and his statement could justify and prove all of Holly's feelings. His eyes were sparked with confidence in his comment.
"You do have to admit he's got some points, Holly," Sakura chuckled.
Holly didn't have anything to protest with besides what she had said earlier, which, now that Renji had brought up everything he had, she was even starting to doubt herself. She turned her attention to Max instead, hoping people would just forget about what they had been talking about. "I'll take care of it, Max. Don't worry," With that being said, she jogged away from the group.
"I'm sorry, but I'm kind of new here... I didn't exactly know that King Falkor had any companions; I've never been here before. And I didn't know what I was supposed to do with the girl," Dia explained simply. She added a bit of nervousness as she finshed, scratching the back of her head and frowning that said "my bad". Her eyes flicked to over where the girl used to be. Coward, she insulted mentally, keeping it to herself.
Had she not been in character, she would have shown no fear in snapping back at the dominating feline. But, as it were, she forced a submissive additude out of herself.
Holly's head was still swimming with confusion about how she was supposed to think about what Renji said when she made it to the main hall again. "What's going on here?" She asked curiously as she strolled casually in. With a bright smile directed more at Sabre than the stranger, she continued, "Anything I can help with?"

Sabre looked at Holly with blood in her eyes. Her face was twisted with chagrin; she did not look happy in the slightest. Her tail lashed back and forth like a whip on fire, and her neck fur was bristling with territorial dominance. She narrowed her eyes predatorily and turned her head back to this new guest from Notia. She knew nothing of registering for citizenship, did she? The King took care of it all, no need for help from the soon-to-be-citizen once she sent in her papers! What an unintelligent fool.
"You can help this uncourteous baboon learn some manners of regality as well as some patience, but that's about it," the sabrecat muttered darkly, holding her head low as she glared up at Dia with bared fangs. Not that she could hide them very well, anyway, but...
Sabre gave one last snappish roar in Kenya's direction, a territorial threat display that screamed, 'You better watch your back and sleep lightly.' The King's cat then turned around and began her walk back to her Falkor's private quarters, holding her head high as she marched. That wasn't the last Kenya had seen of her, no doubt.

Max followed Holly quickly, her wings easily carrying her just behind the mystic. When they got back to the hall she landed by the pile of clothes and sighed. She still needed to learn how to transform back into her human form from her animal form in the clothes so that she didn't need privacy every time she did so.
She started when Sabre roared at Kenya, her wings spreading to their full width as she shot up into the air. When she saw the saber-toothed cat heading towards Falkor's quarters she relaxed and glided lazily back down to the clothes. She looked over at Holly, the relief showing in her eyes. "Thank you Mystic Holly. I don't know what I would have done if you wouldn't have came with me."
She looked down at the clothes and sighed again, it was going to be a pain to get these back to her room in her current form. "Kenya, do you mind helping me get this stuff back to my room so I can change back into them?" The kalahati looked up at her companion to see if she would respond to her request, not really expecting her to.

Oh, so you just went and tattled like a little kid, huh? Dia continued to insult Max, though she knew the stupid kalahati would never hear her comments until she could come out of hiding. Sabre, on the other hand, amused Dia more than anything. She loved the way she lashed out at her. In fact, the saber cat reminded her of herself when she was openly flinging insults at others. She was the first true Verfall member she had seen all day.
"Well, she was an interesting one," Dia mused as Sabre walked away, then flicked a glance over to Max. "I don't believe I asked for help, Miss. I was doing rather fine on my own," Her voice did not portray anger or annoyance, but her eyes definitely said that she was not happy.
"Max, Sabre wouldn't have hurt anyone. You should know this by now," Holly sighed and patted the kalahati's head. "And you should also know, because I've told you many times, you can call me Holly, not Mystic Holly, not Mystic Skies, just Holly." She smiled softly before turning to Dia. "Now, how can I help you?"
"I'd like to become a citizen of Acerbus Umbra, but I'm not exactly sure how. I'd like to talk with King Falkor. Think you could help with that?" Dia asked, forcing herself to sound as polite as possible. Before her stood the person who she was going to kill. She could strike right then and the foolish Mystic would never suspect a thing. But she needed to wait for the perfect moment to strike. A moment so well thought out that it would affect everyone important person in that castle.
"Oh," Holly nodded slowly, comprehending at a relunctant speed. "Sure. He should be in his private quarters or the throne room. Let me take you there, since you're new," Her smile was slightly strained, but it was there. The girl who was standing before her was extremely pretty and part of her knew she wasn't just there for simply papers. She turned and walked towards Falkor's private quarters, walking a little faster, though she didn't mean to.
When she arrived, she kindly knocked on the door before entering. "Sorry for bothering you again, King Falkor, but we have someone who wants to become a citizen of Acerbus Umbra."
Dia entered after Holly and waved to the King in a friendly manner, her eyes not showing any emotion yet. "It's a pleasure to meet you, King Falkor."
Kenya grabbed the clothes in her mouth and started walking towards Max's room, tripping every so often because of the clothing.

"I already wrote you and said I'd take care of your paperwork and get back to you as soon it was finished," Falkor growled in frustration. He couldn't think of anything he despised more than being interrupted when he was actually doing his job.
His back was turned to the two young ladies, as his desk was at the far wall from the door and he had not looked behind him to meet neither Dia's nor Holly's gaze. The room smelled of burning plants, suspiciously enough, and the King was leaned over his desk, writing, oddly close for a task so simple. He repeatedly dipped his quill in the inkwell to his left, continuing to fill out the Notian immigrant's paperwork. When Dia and Holly did not leave, and he could feel their presence looming over his whole day, he turned around and glared at them.
"I suggest you go talk to Luroc if you'd like to inquire about buying a home, or Philana if you're looking for a job," he muttered, his blue eyes standing out more than usual. "Luroc is the tromo wandering around his quarters in the east wing, usually babbling to himself about political nonsense, and Philana is the high elf who spends most of her time in the courtyard."
Of course, any loyal resident of the castle with enough common sense and capability to understand would know that it was actually Philana who dealt with selling houses and Luroc who helped find jobs.
With bloodshot eyes and dilated pupils, Falkor glared menacingly at Dia and Holly. Then he smiled just a little bit, before his smile turned sour and he demanded, "Now leave me be!"
Using his amateur manipulation magic, he sent a rushing gust of wind at the two and forcefully closed his door in their faces.

Holly stared dumbfounded at the door that had just been slammed in her face after she had been pushed back by a ridiculously small amount of wind. Had that not have been Falkor, should would have defended herself a bit better. What her surprised her probably the most was that is was Falkor that had done that. What the heck was going on? He seemed angry, but not? The smile completely threw her off more than anything and since when did the King get into plants?
Dia's laughter cut into her thoughts, making the Mystic raise an eyebrow in question. "This place is so interesting compared to Notia! These people are absolutely hilarious!" She chuckled. "My apologies," Dia's smile was still plastered on her face when she said that. "And you have to admit, the King's hot, right?" The olisthir walked towards Holly in the direction of the courtyard.
Before she could leave completely, she ran her shoulder into Holly's, whispering almost inaudibly, "Hope you don't mind me stealing him, shapeshifter." A dark chuckle escaped her lips, but by the time it did, she was already walking away and Holly couldn't hear her.
Without exactly realizing it, Holly had found herself on the ground, sitting. She suddenly felt sick, drained of all energy, and confused mostly. The combination of Falkor's odd behavior and Dia's comment made her unsure of her next move and, suddenly, she just didn't feel like moving.
And then it hit her. Both things at the same time. Dia thought she liked Falkor and Falkor was acting strangely because of some plant. Her head fell back, resting against the door. "He wouldn't use that stuff, would he?" She asked aloud, bitting her lip and truly thinking about it. After all the time of living in the same castle, she found it funny how much she still didn't know about King Falkor.
