Lyra was minding her own business, or more like trying to figure out her own business. It had only been a few weeks since she "awoke", not knowing who she was or what she was for that matter. She seemed to possess ghostly powers, being able to switch between human and ghost forms, but still mortal and penetrable. Once she was able to get a handle on her new found abilities, she decided she would travel around to figure out the pieces missing from her life. In this case, all the pieces were missing, save for one.
She knew she was Evangelyra Summons. And she knew something was seriously wrong with her.
The fog in the forest was so thick she could barely see the trees in front of her. After running into her fourth tree, landing flat on her rear with a disgruntled groan, she exhaled deeply.
"Lyra you idiot, why the hell are you running into trees when you don't even need to?" She muttered to herself, transforming to her ghost state. Her hair turned white as snow, and her whole body became slightly transparent as she began hovering a few feet above the ground. She glided through the forest and fog, the trees simply passing through her now.
A low growl alerted her, causing her to pause and turn around. "Nevalyst, you can see through the fog, can't you?" she asked to her companion.
When he caught up, his red eyes only showed annoyance as he glared at her. "I'm not that amazing dear."
"Huh. You keep amazing me though. I just assumed."
"I could cast a spell to disspell the fog, but I'm not going to."
"Why ever not?" A smile appeared on Lyra's features.
Nevalyst sighed. "I'm too lazy to."
"Then quit complaining and keep up!" She turned around to continue through the dense forest, Nevalyst keeping up, his paw steps almost as silent as Lyra herself.
It wasn't until she passed through someone's body that the silence was broken, a gasp escaping her lips as she whipped around to see the one she ran through. Nevalyst halted to an abrupt stop, defensively crouching and baring his fangs as he snarled.
Lyra considered changing back to her human form, but she didn't know if this faerie would be a threat or if she would need a quick escape. She hovered closer to her, her right hand naturally finding her hip where her dagger was concealed.

Skyelar was in the forest for one reason and one reason only. To train her senses. She hated relying on her sight, and casting her auxiliary magic out around her to detect life forces. It was weak, she could only decent larger animals and what not, but she was slowly getting her magic more attuned. She was still not good at it, but she was getting better. She was moving slowly anyways, her hands out to warn her of any trees before she had the glorious idea of just shooing the water away about a foot in front of her so that she could spot trees.
This really didn't affect her training much though, for she still couldn't really see much in front of her. Just the occasional tree, and she moved before any animals came into view. What she did not sense was a spirit, and she spotted it just in time to avoid her sword from phasing through the poor girl.
Last time a spirit had phased through her they had gone straight through the weapon, resulting in an injury that they didn't understand. She had to explain herself and everything to them. It had been a bit awkward. She shivered though, feeling another presence simply phase through your own was never all to pleasant. She turned around, facing the direction she thought the spirit had gone and quickly weaved the mist out of the way completely so she could get a good look at her.
She jumped at the growl and turned around, her eyes lighting up in surprise at the creature before her. It was....adorable! She let out a light cry and ran over to it, running her hands along it. "I have never seen a creature like you, let alone touched one. From the way it feels with your presence it is quite possible that you are not a modern creature?" She smiled before standing back up, regaining her composure after her girlish outburst.
"Anyways, I guess I should introduce myself. I am Skyelar of the Suzuya family, and you are?"

Nevalyst flattened his ears at the faerie's overly fond display of affection, his facial expression unamused.
"Of all the people we could have run into..." he muttered. When she finished he did a quick body shake as if drying off from a swim and sat upright, no longer in a defensive position knowing she wasn't a threat. "No." he drew out the word, "I'm competing with dragons when it comes to age."
Lyra sighed dramatically, her eyes rolling upwards as Nevalyst talked. "Let me spare you the long monologue he's bound to dive into." She said, hovering a bit closer to Skyelar. "The name's Lyra Summons." she said placing a hand on her chest. She then gestured to her companion with a quizzical brow, "And this... is Nevalyst. We both...don't really know where we come from."
She paused a moment, considering her options as she stared at her feet floating above the ground. Her purple hues returned to the faerie's a moment later, her gaze judging whether she could trust her. Lyra felt no fear in her heart when she studied Skyelar, so she exhaled softly before turning mortal once more, her hair darkening and her form becoming solid before she thudded softly to the ground.
"And, we don't really know what we are for that matter."
