The first thing anyone will notice about Birger is that although he is of average height for a Ponoc, his shoulders are much broader. For a long time he was very toned but in recent years he has gained a small amount of fat that makes his muscular build softer when at rest. He does not carry his strength all that skillfully, nor does he appear clumsy however. His face carries some sharp angles such as his jawline but overall it gives a soft impression. He always carries a slight smile on his face, not so much that he appears cheerful but enough to offset his imposing stature. His ash-blonde hair is just long enough to cover his ears, and he has a full beard of medium length.
